Dear Ricardo and Violeta,

We are deeply touched by your heartfelt sentiments, overjoyed for your support and excited that we share a mutual vision of an engaged, expanding community and elevating Tango in Calgary.

Thank you to each friend, acquaintance and newcomer that joins us, our life is so much more enriched because of your joyous energy and spirited participation.

Most importantly, my deepest appreciation of Ralph's unconditional support and belief in my vision for an inclusive, cohesive and embracing Tango club.  Ralph's magnanimity is unique and cherished for sharing my innate sense of hospitality, a pleasure of food and drink, a joy of cooking and a passion for Tango ... Epicurean Tango Society, indeed.

Thanks for the Memories and Future Club Plans

Good morning everyone:

We would like to thank Ralph and Sandra, founders of Epicurean Tango Society, for their enormous effort organizing and implementing a wonderful farewell Milonga for us last Saturday. Flowers, huge cake, refined cutlery and glasses to enjoy a good  bottle of Cabernet and Malbec, excellent food.  But the highlight of the night was the presence of so many good friends with whom we have shared our passion for Tango in Calgary, Cranbrook, New Denver BC., Sundre, Buenos Aires.

It was the best Milonga that we have had the opportunity to attend to. Just perfect.

We were affected  by the sincere sadness demonstrated  by everybody in attendance for our departure to Kelowna. But we made a promise that we are planning to come back to teach more Tango mainly to the Beginners in order to enlarge the community of dancers. There are so many willing to embrace Tango and we'll fulfill this promise.

We loved this particular hall; beautiful floor, great and modern kitchen, nice set up for music sound. This is the place where we are planning to comeback  for workshops.

Ralph and Sandra explained to us their plans and commitments in order to enhance Tango in Calgary, and we agree with their enthusiasm. We'll support them gladly.

Special thanks to Jim Conley, Rosario Aceituno and Leo Sato, for their notes that were read by Sandra to the attendance. The contents of these notes touched our spirits very deeply.

We were approached by some of you to give us personal thanks for our efforts in teaching you this unique dance and having the opportunity of traveling and working together.  To see you dancing with elegance, finesse, passion, enjoying the music, feeling content with your partner and having a good time; those are the best rewards to us.

In other words, it was a night to be remembered for a long time.

Our new web-site (still under construction) will be: www.tangobarokanagankootenay.ca and our e-mail address effective May 5th will be: tangobarOK@shaw.ca

Please, keep in touch.

With sincere gratitude for being there with us, when our hearts  are hurting.

WE LOVE YOU ALL
Ricardo and Violeta

Hi Sandra & Ralph;

Many thanks for sharing last evening & introducing me to dancing the Tango.

Considering all the hard work you put in to make these evenings successful Sandra.

May I suggest that you arrange to have someone else looking after kitchen duties so that you can be free to dance , mingle and have more fun.

I look forward to being with you both for Valentine's Milonga Feb. 13th.

Cheers!

Forwarded from Anthony ... So glad you enjoyed.....

Hi Anthony…It was a wonderful event. Thank you for your instruction.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the class.

Yesterday, I spent the afternoon with Frank and Tess. They took me to buy shoes and then we practiced for 2 hours. The shoes made a world of difference…Frank thought it was more his instruction….Ha, Ha!

Have a good week! See you soon….

Thank you for a fabulous time...

Hello Sandra,

I would like to let you know that I had a fabulous time in the Milonga last night.

The venue, the people, the conversations, the food, the music and the dancing were all enjoyable. In addition, the promotion of multi-culture - giving out red pockets for the Chinese New Year was noted and appreciated!

I also enjoyed dancing a little bit of other Latin dances – Cha cha, Salsa, Merenge, Cumbia and Rumba. Thank you.

I look forward to attending the next Milonga. Hopefully, you and I could dance a song or two.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Hi Anthony;

I enjoyed your Tango demonstrations, you are poetry in motion on the dance floor.

I really appreciated having the opportunity to share your table & visit with you in addition to receiving your patient Tango instructions.

It is very gracious of you to offer to teach me to dance the Argentine Tango and I am enthusiastically looking forward to mastering this very expressive Dance.

I realize that You are celebrating The New Year of The Tiger and The Olympic games are also being televised, however, I will make myself available at your convenience.

Certainly nice to connect up with you, I shall make some arrangement to get you a good training partner and we shall take your dancing to serveral nodges up in no time.

Glad to contribute, Sandra and thanks for the invitation. You and Ralph and become a very important social centre for tango in Calgary very quickly!

Sorry I left early. I've been working very long days during the week, part of the weekend, because a broker has left and I'm taking over his book. That is on top of my regular work and although it's rewarding it's very tiring! As well, I've been fighting sinusitis for weeks now (I really don't like taking antibiotics), so I need lots of sleep.

Take care, see you on the dance floor soon,

Hi Ron!

I'm so pleased you'll be joining us for the Mardi Gras Milonga!

We have all been where you're at, but part of the Tango spirit is to share that joy. In Tango, you are always learning.

It is a pleasure to see your enthusiasm and there is no doubt with guidance from Anthony, Tess and Frank plus your keen desire to Tango, it will soon flow.

It is practice, perseverence and more practice, but there is no doubt - you will develop into a beautiful Tanguero, especially with your tall frame and long legs.

We believe in you and know, the butterfly that resides within will emerge.

See you this evening!

Thu, Mar 4, 2010 at 1:26 PM

Hello Sandra!!!

How are you?

Thanks for your e-mails and for the reminder for the Tango Practica on Thursdays and Sundays.

I will be there on Sunday for sure.!!! I will not be able to go on Thursdays because I have some classes in Bow Valley at that hour.

By the way, I would like to confirm my assistance to the Milonga on March.

The last Milonga was incredibly beautiful. I enjoyed every part of it: the decorations on the tables, the music , the food -which was so delicious- and the most important part: all the people who made an extraordinary atmosphere.

Everybody was still there at 1am. It is a pity that I had left because the cab was already there waiting for me, but for the next Milonga I will take the necessary previsions to leave it later.

:D

Thanks again for such incredible organization, for your effort and enthusiasm to organize it, a marvelous option that is already lighting the Tango life in Calgary.
